We’ve all heard it before, coconut oil is amazing. It’s versatility alone is admirable. You can just about use it for, well, anything. Here are our top five ways to use it that will benefit our hair, skin and lives in general.

  1. It can tame your frizzy hair. Coconut oil creates a humidity and moisture boundary which protects the hair strands from unequal swelling. This helps to keep the frizz at bay and leaves your hair feeling smooth and totally manageable.
  2. It’s a great skin softener. Using it on areas of skin that may be dry and tougher can help to make them feel softer and more nourished.
  3. It removes makeup. If you’re worried about using harsh chemicals on your skin when you remove your makeup, coconut oil could be the solution for you. Simply rub it into your skin and wipe it off with a cotton pad.
  4. It contains Vitamin E. Vitamin E has anti-inflammatory benefits, so using coconut oil can help with any issues and conditions where the skin may feel inflamed.
  5. It’s known to stimulate hair growth. Coconut oil penetrates hair follicles and fights against split ends, which will promote the growth of hair strands.
