Whether you’ve had a good Monday (we hope you have) or a Monday-ish Monday, you can never go wrong with a good bath soak.

You know how it is, we buy some bubbles or some fancy salts, we light the candles, switch the lights off (not before we’ve posted a well lit IG story, obviously) and immerse ourselves into a pool of dreamy tranquillity. There really is nothing better than a relaxing bath after to finish of the start of the week, celebrate that you made it through another Monday.

Here are our top tips for the ultimate bath time:

  1. Prepare your essentials. Make sure you’ve got something scrummy to pop into the water, whether it’s bubbles, salts or a bath bomb, have it on hand.
  2. Add some scented oil. While your tub is filling up, drop some scented oils into the water.
  3. Make sure your bath is hot enough to last the duration that you’re in there, but not so hot that you can’t get in.
  4. Light some candles, turn on your favourite chilled out playlist.
  5. Be sure to bring a drink, it’s easy to feel dehydrated and thirsty when you’re in a hot bath. Take a glass of water, chamomile tea or even a glass of wine, whatever tickles your fancy.
  6. Make sure your towels and dressing gown are clean, fluffy and not too out of reach.
