It’s World Vegetarian Week from 10th – 16th May, so we’re taking this meat-free celebration as an opportunity to spotlight our favourite vegan fragrances.
Thanks to bestselling designers around the world, fragrance is becoming more sustainable and cruelty-free. Years after the beauty industry has transformed its norms, perfumery is catching up to its counterpart to set new norms in production that are protecting our planet. We have classic scents like Ghost, new summer 2021 arrivals from Moschino, unisex scents from Calvin Klein, and much more. Are you ready to meet your new cruelty-free, vegan favourite? We thought so, let’s go!
Every fragrance by IKON is vegan, genderless, and sustainably made. Even better, every one is distinctively unique, offering an exquisite olfactory experience from natural raw ingredients.
IKON 914 is a refined scent that enriches the skin with a luxurious woody and amber breeze, with middle notes of Jasmine, Fire Balsam and Oud. Meanwhile, IKON 910 is an uncompromisingly fusion of vibrant top notes (Grapefruit, Apple) while its floral heart and musky base are spirited to empower everyone.
First released in 2000, Ghost Eau De Toilette is the soft, delicate fragrance leading the way for the best vegan fragrances. With an earthy blend of petals and woods, the classic women’s perfume blends Rose and Jasmine Petals with Vanilla, Peach and Amber over a timeless base of Sandalwood and Musk, making it a signature scent for anyone of any age.
Make your fragrance pop with Moschino’s brand new Toy 2 Bubblegum Eau De Toilette this summer while knowing it’s vegan. The sweet floral fragrance opens with a pink burst of Bubblegum Accord and Candied Citrus Fruits before opening its fruity heart featuring a delicious Bulgarian Rose Essence, all of which lies on a surprisingly sophisticated woody-musk base with a Musk Cocktail note. It may be new to 2021 but it’s already one of the best vegan fragrances in our opinion! Plus, around 80% of the raw ingredients used are also biodegradable, which makes it smell even better.
If you’re looking for an unconventional vegan fragrance, IKON 709 combines Coffee with a calming earthy base of Patchouli, Amber and Exotic Woods to create an indulgent and simply irresistible aroma. If you’re looking for something spicier, IKON 511 is the alluring aromatic fantasy you need. Featuring intoxicating base notes of Dry Amber, Musk and Nagarmotha and top notes of Cardamom, Carrot and Elemi, they blend together to formulate a sophisticated scent to remember.
Calvin Klein fragrances have long lead the way to boundless olfactory experiences, and CK Everyone is no different. The unisex Eau De Toilette blends natural alcohols and all-natural ingredients to be the legendary brand’s first-ever ‘clean fragrance’, and the result is a seductive citrus-aquatic combination of Blue Tea Accord, Organic Orange Oil and Cedarwood suited to everybody.
The final two fragrances in IKON’s all-vegan collection are IKON 807 and IKON 906. First up, IKON 807 is a rousing Vanilla, Musk and Amber-based scent with notes of Rosewood, Cardamom, Saffron and Patchouli, offering a precious sensuality that’s simply unforgettable. Second, IKON 906 brings the drama with a hypnotising mix of Red Fruits, Nutmeg and Black Pepper on top, and middle notes of Jasmine, Tuberose and Ylang Ylang over the dramatic Amber, Musk and Patchouli base.
Vegan and cruelty-free fragrance is slowly becoming the new norm, and with every one we’re seeing more genderless fragrances pop up too. Brands like IKON and Calvin Klein are laying the foundations for clean and sustainable perfumery, while others like Moschino ensure their new additions are bringing a new consciousness to fragrance production.
