One thing that we’ve all come to realise from quarantine life, is that we can do so much from the comfort of our own homes. Whether it’s a well-needed nap, a beauty mask or two (or three), a little face massage, a 20-minute at-home workout, playing with makeup, experimenting with our hair or simply having a relaxing, aroma-filled bath… There’s so much we can do to help lift our spirits all in the comfort of our humble abode.
Below, we share our top tips on how to boost our mood and beauty rituals at home, to ensure we’re looking and feeling as bright-eyed and determined as always.
Rub a dub, dub
If you’re privy to a bathtub in your isolation zone, then lucky you! Take advantage of it. Run yourself a luxurious bath filled with bubbles, exfoliants and beautifully scented candles (it’s been found that certain scents can calm the mind and others can re-energize the body).
For those who don’t have (or don’t like) a bath, a shower can be just as good on the body and mind – it’s really all in what you do and what you use.
Start with a hard-working body scrub to deeply exfoliate and rid your skin of dead cells whilst increasing blood flow. Continue with nourishing shower lotions and, once out of the water, a body moisturiser or, for added decadence, a fast-absorbing oil paired with an ultra-rich body cream or lotion. You’ll be left gleaming, super hydrated and feeling renewed.

Masking and Relaxing
They come in all shapes, sizes and ‘target areas’… a beauty mask fit for your whole body from head to toe. Choose a genius mask that will de-puff those eyes, another that will soften dry hands (we’ve never needed handcare more), a face mask for an deep cleanse or a reason to finally use a foot peeling mask (what better opportunity for peely feet than now?).

Work it out
Everyone’s been jumping on the ‘at-home wokouts’ (as have we with our 20-minute blast), but let’s not forget about the tension in our face, and the workout our facial muscles need.
