Chinese New Year, also known as Lunar New Year, marks the start of a new moon. The exact date changes every year, but it will always fall between January 21st and February 20th.
This year, Chinese New Year will fall on Tuesday, February 1st and it will introduce the year of the Tiger.
What does that mean?
Similar to the Western zodiac signs, there are twelve Chinese signs. However, these signs are named after one of twelve animals, rather than star constellations. Each animal has a different personality and sense of style which is why we’ve compiled a list of fragrances. Now you can learn about your sign AND find your perfect signature scent!
Tiger (1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, 2022)
Quick-witted, resourceful, versatile, kind. Tigers are always considered in popular culture as very smart and fast animals, so unsurprisingly people born under this sign reflect these traits.
To make sure that your fragrance mirrors your personality, you’ll need something citrusy and energizing:
Rabbit (1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, 2023)
Quiet, elegant, kind, responsible. You’re the friend that everyone needs. Everyone knows they can count on you. You don’t like to argue but you still make sure to get your point across.
As the reliable one, you need something clean yet long-lasting:
Ox (1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, 2021)
Diligent, dependable, strong, determined. There’s nothing you can’t do, and everyone admires your determination. However, at times you forget to have fun.
You need something bold to remind you to let loose:
Rat (1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020)
Optimistic and friendly, you get along with everyone. But while you’re very kind and empathetic, your stubbornness and honesty can seem a little blunt.
You need something delicate and cheerful, to remind you to tread lightly:
Dragon (1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, 2024)
Outspoken, intelligent and a bit of a perfectionist. You can be quick to argue but that’s just because you’re so passionate. Short fuse aside, your confidence and work ethic make you a great team leader.
Soothe your temper with something warm and comforting:
Snake (1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013, 2025)
Curious, clever, and extremely charming, you appreciate the finer things in life. You may seem cool and collected on the outside, you have a habit of letting your anxiety get the best of you.
Peaceful notes of lavender will help you stay serene:
Horse (1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014, 2026)
Fiercely independent and incredibly funny, you are always looking for the next big challenge. Your spontaneity can border on irresponsible and you struggle to commit to one thing.
To avoid growing bored of your fragrance, you need a lot of complex notes:
Goat (1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, 2015, 2027)
Laid-back, cheerful and wonderfully creative, you enjoy working in a team – as long as you’re not the leader! You’re very sensitive and like to work at your own pace, surrounded by friends.
Nurture your artistic spirit with innovative, modern scents:
Monkey (1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016, 2028)
You’re a glass half-full kind of person and your razor-sharp wit has given you a wide social circle. However your tendency to tell white lies and make snap decisions can make you a bit unpredictable…
The life of the party needs an exciting, gourmand fragrance:
Million Lucky
Rooster (1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017, 2029)
While you might be a bit prideful, you’re incredibly loyal to your friends and you’re always up for an adventure. Remember to not let your ego get in the way of a good time.
You need a peppery fragrance to suit your feisty nature:
Dog (1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018, 2030)
Honest and straightforward, you’re always the first to lend a helping hand. You struggle to trust strangers when they do the same and can be overly critical of others.
A light-hearted, floral scent will remind you to not judge people so harshly:
Pig (1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019, 2031)
People enjoy you because you’re down to earth and very compassionate. Careful who you trust, though, your kindness can lead to naivety.
An intense scent will give you the confidence to reject negative influences:
