Perfumers Sophie Labbé and Olivier Pescheux are the masterminds behind the designer house’s newcomers Versace Dylan Turquoise Eau De Toilette and (excitingly) the new Versace Eros Eau De Parfum. Both evoking the Greek culture and mythology found in Versace Home collections, the women’s EDT and the men’s new EDP edition of Eros are escapist fragrances embodying sensual and passionate powerhouse brand.
Let’s start with the Dylan Turquoise EDT, crafted by Sophie Labbé. The women’s perfume brings an innovatory twist to Versace tradition with a combination of winter and summer fruits to create a vibrant Floral-Woody-Musk cocktail reminiscent of a fresh sea breeze caressing the skin.
An energetic burst of light with Lemon Primofiore Essence leads the way, meeting Sicilian Mandarin and Pink Pepper for an exuberant multi-faceted top note. At the heart of Dylan Turquoise EDT is a creative accord which enhances the tropical Guava with the fresh, airy feel of Jasmine Petals and Freesia, turning the composition into a modern green.
The Mediterranean freshness of the top and heart notes continues as the Woody-Musk sensual base leaves no trace of the earthy vibes typical to such notes. How? One word: Clearwood. This base note injects modernity to the fragrance, resulting in an ever-fresh amber sensuality with a tough of woodiness.
The frosted glass of the Dylan Turquoise Eau De Toilette bottle reflects the crystal-clear waters of the sea, topped with gold for a true summer’s delight. Created by perfumer Olivier Pescheux, the new Versace men’s EDP is a more citrus-y take than the sweeter Eau De Toilette, the modern classic that launched back in 2012. Versace Eros represents the power of sensuality as a fragrance with endless charm and sunkissed seduction aplenty. Pescheux combines unlikely extremes of notes both delicate and citrusy to forge a new signature scent for the man who dares. Italian Lemon and Mandarin provide a radiant energy on top, paired with Mint Oil and a unique note of Candied Apple for sweet zest under the sun. This rejuvenating invitation gives way to a heart of Geranium Flower, Ambermax and Clary Sage Essence, responsibly sourced from France.
The fragrance then settles into a fresh Eau De Parfum in the Oriental-Woody fragrance families born from the meeting of Indonesian Patchouli, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Haitian Veviter and Vanilla. Versace Eros Eau De Parfum for men has arrived in two sizes, each in the same distinct Versace house bottle with the brand’s signature engraving. The 50ml Spray is £64.50, while the 100ml is £84.50.
